Synchrotron SAXS data from solutions of RNA12 in 0.25 mM MgCl2, 20 mM KMOPS, 20 µM EDTA, pH 7 were collected on the G1 beam line at the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) storage ring (Ithaca, NY, USA) using two PILATUS 100K detectors at a sample-detector distances of 0.45 and 1.7 m and at a wavelength of λ = 0.1246 nm (I(s) vs s, where s = 4πsinθ/λ, and 2θ is the scattering angle). One solute concentration of 1.53 mg/ml was measured at 20°C. 60 successive 10 second frames were collected. The data were normalized to the intensity of the transmitted beam and radially averaged; the scattering of the solvent-blank was subtracted and the data merged from the two detector positions.
