Derived from adenylate cyclase toxin, the protein spans from residue 719 to 17006, harboring a deletion in the RTX domain (residues 1295-1561, inclusive). Recombinant protein, expressed in Escherichia coli, with a single acyl modification in position K149, which correspond to residues 860 of CyaA. The acylation of the second acylation site by the dedicated acyl transferase CyaC was ablated by a conservative substitution in position K272 (K983 of CyaA). The monomers of the protein were obtained by molecular confinement in Sephadex 200 10/300. The sample was concentrated using centricon cutoff 10kDa.
