Non-structural protein 9 (NSP9) is a small, highly conserved viral protein encoded by the ORF1ab polyprotein of SARS-CoV-2. It is proteolytically cleaved from the large replicase polyprotein by viral proteases. NSP9 consists of approximately 113 amino acids and has a molecular weight of ~11.3 kDa.
