SANS data from solutions of the outer membrane protein complex MtrCAB in 20 mM HEPES, 100 mM NaCl, 2.8 mM Fos-choline 12, 13% D2O, pD 7.8, were collected using the D22 small-angle neutron scattering diffractometer (Institut Laue-Langevin, ILL; Grenoble, France) equipped with a Reuter-Stokes 3He detector at a sample-detector distance of 8 m and at a wavelength of λ = 0.6 nm (I(s) vs s, where s = 4πsinθ/λ, and 2θ is the scattering angle). One solute concentration of 9.30 mg/ml was measured at 11°C. The data were normalized to the intensity of the transmitted beam and radially averaged; the scattering of the solvent-blank was subtracted.
